We were able to experience a wonderful wedding day in Reithenhaslach. We thank the Mitterer family for the professional planning and organization of our celebration. Enjoyed the food and the very nice service from the staff. Great recommendation.

Today we had a pleasant lunch on the guest terrace. Roast pork and an autumn pasta dish tasted excellent. The service was quick and friendly. PS: I give five stars if the performance is above normal expectations, that was not the case today.

A little out of the way, you hardly expect a human if you cross the monastery area before, but the Klostgasthof seems to be no insider tip anymore, reservations can make sense 😉 The food was delicious

Outrageous staff! People get mixed up in private matters and shamelessly left out about who they are with in public. The very tactless and impolite service (middle-aged, short black hair, glasses, dialect) should possibly be taken to one side in order not to drive away more long-term guests.

Very cozy and idyllic with delicious food and friendly staff. Well suited for a stopover while hiking or cycling, the waiting times are short.

The place to go in the Chiemgau/Salzburg region, if you are looking for an authentic hotel in a historic surrounding, here: an old Cistercensian monastery founded in the 12th century. The rooms inside the old and thick walls are spacious and tastefully decorated. You sleep in comfortable bed inside a baroque style picture frame. The bathroom is fittingly decorated with black and golden glazed tiles. Arranging 2 neighbouring rooms for our family, we were helped immediately and friendly. We also booked dinner in the corresponding restaurant beforehand and we were very happy with the delicious and plentiful dishes. The service was very friendly, attentive, quick - and typical Bavarian. Back in this area, we definitively will come again.

As always great! We didn't like the renovation on the courtyard! It is a shame when a beautiful Birgarten has to give way to stupid bollards. You don't have to understand the concept behind it.

The high-quality cuisine shown with the menu unfortunately totally fails at breakfast. Lots of plastic waste and a warm, cheap sausage and cheese platter disappoint across the board. Despite Corona, you can expect more from a 4 * hotel.

The food was really good, but the service was impossible. First there were stupid answers to questions, then the parasol for regular guests at the table next door would be pulled away without a word. Even when we tried to pay, there were really stupid reactions. It's a shame because we really liked the surroundings and the food.

Today the 21.06.20 came spontaneously after a visit to the monastery to eat something. However, this did not happen because the waitress did not get to our table for 30 minutes after the drinks. You sit very nice and the cyclist was good, so 2 stars. Only the service would be 0/5. What a shame..

A visit to the monastery inn has been part of our holiday for over 20 years. A wonderful destination with very good cuisine and always friendly staff, even in the hectic high season. And all this in the unique atmosphere of a former monastery.

The inn has a cozy ambience and friendly and attentive staff, as well as a very good kitchen. :) We didn't miss anything. It was my first time there, but I only heard good things about this inn before. I will definitely come back.

I can't believe it's a 4 stars hotel, the services aren't at that level. In summer time it could be nice taking advantage of the garden and the bicycle track to Burghausen.

To all cyclists... Cycle on and stay in Burghausen!!!! Even look at the owners reply to my review. It's like I say; they don't care and simply rude! After a long day cycle, we decided to stay here, ''4 Star Hotel'' and most expensive in the area!! That we would be at least satisfied and rested.for the next day cycle. Hotel extorts people with it's lack of competition. After paying 150 euro for a nights stay. We then had to pay 5.40 euro for a 0.75 bottle of water for the room. And after a long cycle we needed like 3 bottles. They even charge for tap water... Even for guests... Not to mention a wider lists of issues. Dreadful internet... Rooms are on minimum WiFi, Terrace is a dead zone. I ordered a small portion of my meal as most things are just too heavy and too much. I got it, but still paid the full price of 16 euro for a small salad. Had to change room in the night. Rooms have no ventilation. So in the heat wave, the window needed to be open. However there was a wedding party directly under our window, loud chatting while smoking etc. With the echo in the building design, the people might have well been sitting on the bed. Needs some sort of ventilation! Explained my issues the next day, answer from the staff was, nothing we can do about it... To me they didn't care or want to listen. And I am native English speaker that also speaks perfect German, my partner Austrian. So they was no confusion with our stay or communication with staff !! This place is at best a 2 star hotel and not 4. Was the biggest regret of my cycle tour staying here.

Nice quiet location on a historic monastery. Good kitchen in a pleasant vaulted room, beer garden in front of the door. Nice team, recommended!

Very nice inn. The staff was very friendly. They were also very fast. The food was great. Only when paying we would have to wait because only one operator was allowed to do that. But you should definitely have eaten there
